Business Philosophy
My business philosophy is simple: Westport is my home and I'd like to share it with you.
What that ends up meaning is that my clients often become a part of my extended family. We work together to find the best solution for buying or selling your home - but that, to me, is only the beginning. If you are moving to the area I want you to feel at home here too. I want you to call, ask questions, take notes, meet me for coffee. If I can't answer your questions, I can certainly find someone who will.
When you work with me it's all Susan, all the time. I'm not part of a "team," I don't have an assistant. When you call, I answer. That's what works for me - and I hope it does for you as well.
Areas of Expertise
I've lived in Westport and been in the real estate business since 1959 - ok, I was six - but my father began building homes here in the early 1950's, my mother is a retired realtor, my brother is a real estate attorney practicing in Westport, and my husband, Barry Katz, is one of the top luxury home builders in the area. I've been a full-time realtor since 1994.
Barry and I have raised our two children in Westport, experienced the public schools up close, and worked and played here for the last twenty-five years. I also have a large extended family in town most of whom are builders, realtors, or doctors. There's not a lot I don't know about Westport - and everything I know, you'll know.
I'm looking forward to meeting you and helping you feel at home.
